Uncle Jeff

Today was a very sad day for our family. My dear Uncle Jeff passed away suddenly of a heart attack...Leaving a 14 year old daughter, a 19 year old son, and a beautiful wife.

When my cousin called to tell me I just couldn't believe it. Every time we go to Ohio we would stay at their beautiful home (which was designed by him...he was an amazing architect).

My favorite story of him is when my mom was in high school, their family did not have a lot of money, Jeff saved his money to buy my mom a prom dress so she could go and feel beautiful....that is just a small window into how amazing he was.

Whenever we would go to Ohio he would make our time there so amazing...making us delicious breakfasts...picking Doug up at the airport....being so sweet to my kids (Evan got really sad when I told him)....driving us all around....they would always stop what they were doing so that we could be comfortable.

When I was first pregnant and we didn't know if it was a boy or girl the two names we had was Evan (for a boy) and Madison (for a girl)....which are the names of Jeff's kids...I always liked those names....we would always talk about that when we would come to visit him....he thought that was really cool.

I will really miss him.

I'm sorry to hear the news...

It's times like this that remind us how fragile and precious life is. It's obvious though that you truly treasured and appreciated the time you had with him! What a great man and a great uncle to you!

I can see the resemblance to your mom...

My heart goes out to your family!

XOXO

Glad you guys could go and see the family. I am sure it meant a lot to your mom for you to be there, and a lot to her family.
