Getting ready for Christmas...

I hope everyone had a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! We sure did...here are some things we did to get ready for Christmas....

We made "gingerbread houses"...although, Evan had a better idea...he wanted a firehouse...so, we did our best...(he is actually wearing his Chicago fire department shirt)

Here is the finished product...you can see on the left little red dots for the alarm...Evan wanted candy canes for the pole...to tell you the truth...all this was Evan's idea...it was so cute...

Doug and I stayed up really late (3 a.m.) one night to make treats for our neighbors and the people he works with..so, we made peppermint bark popcorn (it was delicious....as you can see...Doug ate more than he helped :o) it was really fun...this is our last batch...We invited some friends that live downtown for dinner and to act out the nativity....Evan and I made a star...and a stable....i think it turned out well...and instead of dressing up...we used the puppets my sister gave me last year....it was fun.

I hope your Christmas was just as fun as ours....I will post more pictures later...right now we are going to play with all our new Christmas toys!
